A light-up sign seems simple, but it’s about much more than panels and lights. It’s crafted through a strict, step-by-step process. Today, we’re taking you inside Jingxin’s factory to reveal the 7 key steps—from building the LED strips to boxing up the finished sign.
Step 1: CNC Engraving – Precision Shaping
Sign making begins with carving the base material. A CNC machine precisely cuts shapes, letters, and designs into acrylic, PVC, or metal sheets – right down to a millimeter. Next, it smooths and cleans the base, getting it ready for the next steps.
Step 2: Cutting the LED Strip – Customized to Fit
The LED strip is the light engine. Workers trim it to match each letter’s shape and size, using precise cutters for smooth edges. Each cut strip fits snugly into the engraved groove—no gaps, no bumps. This ensures even light without dark spots.
Step 3: Wiring Up the Lights – Connecting the Current
Once cut, the strips need power. Workers solder wires to the + and – terminals on the backside, keeping the front smooth. They immediately test the connections to catch any shorts or breaks.
Step 4: Bringing It Together – From Pieces to Perfect Sign
Once all parts are ready, workers fit LED strips into grooves, add power, controls, and waterproof parts. They space components for cooling, hide wires, and seal seams against water. Every part must fit perfectly for bright, lasting light.
Step 5: Aging Zone – Time Tests Quality
After assembly, signs undergo a 24-72 hour burn-in test. Running full power under heat and stress weeds out defects, ensuring every one leaving the factory lights up perfectly – zero dark spots, discoloration, or flicker. It’s a fail-safe check for reliable, long-lasting glow.
Step 6: Quality Inspection – Rigorous Multi-Dimensional Control
After aging tests, each sign undergoes a comprehensive check during quality inspection, covering the following aspects:
Optical Performance: Checks brightness, color evenness, and absence of dark/bright spots.
Appearance Check: No panel scratches, adhesive bubbles, or blurry text edges.
Electrical Safety: Check insulation, voltage tests, and cord condition.
Only signs passing all inspection criteria receive a pass label.
Step 7: Packaging – Safeguarding the Journey
Approved signs are wrapped in protective film to guard against scratches and bumps during shipping. Power cords, accessories, manuals, and other essentials are neatly packed in a labeled shipping box with clear product info and safety marks.
From CNC engraving to aging tests, and through strict quality checks, every step of our sign-making process shows Jingxin’s commitment to excellence in lighting. Seven linked steps, with careful attention to detail, all aim for one goal: to make sure every light beam shines steadily, lasts long, and perfectly highlights your brand.
